Kallada river like any other river has influenced the lives of people on either banks . Especially near Munrothuruth and West Kallada where the river takes a straight course . It is at this straight track or 'Nettayam ' , that the Kallada Jalolsavam happens every year . It is one of the most beautiful tracks in Kerala with a good view from either banks , which is lined by thick coconut grooves .It is a visual splendor to see the giant snake boats wade through the emerald coloured waters of Kallada river from Muthirapparambu to Karoothra kadavu .
